'I'm Dancing as Fast as I Can!'

The promotion of free content can unearth fantastic memories

The title line of the 90s LA party anecdote came to me as I hustled downstairs, inspired to to record a promo. If you’ve consumed the video you know I’m amped for tomorrow’s conversation between Seattle Erotic Art Festival executive director Sophia Sky and Lev Anderson and I.

Ms. Sky was among the first WCS conversations, back before the podcast began.

Sophia Sky and the Art of Sex in the Pacific Northwest

Seattle has a marriage of maritime culture and inclement weather that’s bound to make a remote outpost sexy. Lore is that in olden times the city was populated by hundreds of professional “seamstresses” when there was but one sewing machine in the area. Today’s conversation partner is another force in keeping Seattle sexy, Sophia Sky, Executive Director…

Our chat is joyful and concerns a useful approach to not letting the national catastrophe rob your spirit.

Our talk is completely contemporary, on so many levels—the definition of News You Can Use. But here is what’s most interesting about this post:
The “I’m Dancing as Fast as I Can” party anecdote turned out to be but the top of a full-fledged recollection.

At the party referenced, I met one of the most remarkable people ever to become involved with me. She and I met dramatically, got on dramatically. Incredibly well.

She was a craft-oriented actress and all of our shit was spiritually deep. Screening The Passion of the Christ with her at the Director’s Guild of America stands out, but we almost always had an epic time. Once on New Year’s Day in a Tournament of Roses parade parking garage. (Pasadena, represent!)

Memories made to sub in for doom scroll hour two.
