As mentioned, the conversation is off for Thursday. Fret not though. Enough compelling WCS content is coming to make that little absence worth enduring.

Dead up on the freebies will be my interview of Julian Rubinstein, author of the powerful Denver crime and corruption book The Holly, and director of the fascinating, Oscar long-listed documentary of the same name. My comradeship with Julian reaches past his making the first pass at my Ghetto Celebrity manuscript; he lived a couple of blocks from the Manhattan offices of ESPN The Magazine. We’ve had so many laughs.

I’ve followed his effort to pull off his two entwined projects for damn-near a decade. So, he and I are able to get into pretty good depth. How Adam McKay came to executive produce The Holly is funny.
