A brief scheduling upheaval explanation
It's not you, it's me who's being offbeat with the email
You may have noticed that Body High, West Coast Sojourn’s wellness narrative, hit a day early this week. Weird right? Maybe you’re wondering, Where are those reader versions of the Kevin Jodrey and Threadren conversations? And were we not promised great new podcast episodes?
Is chaos ascendant?
No need to spiral. My current life is pretty packed, especially with the new-ish day gig. Also, I’m living deep in the suburbs, and the resources that I need to improve your podcast experience are not near me. For what it’s worth, the backlog of terrific guests set to do the Sojourn trip brings a smile to my lips.
The interruption is temporary. Getting a better WCS podcast will be worth the wait.
The Zoom chats with Threadren Alexandria Marshall and Dimitry Léger and with Kevin Jodrey are set to drop soon. Per usual, our 10-story newsletter hits on Friday. In this week’s introductory mini-essay, I take on the weaponizing of VP Kamala Harris’s 90s relationship with California Assembly Speaker Willie Brown, the GOP linchpin of an explosive election home stretch.
Plus, In tomorrow’s newsletter I offer perspective on the highly-competitive NFC West, write about a pivotal sex worker protest in Portland, and offer up other non-fiction nuggets of fascination for West Coast people and people who love West Coast people.
Thanks for your patience.
